Investigator of the Year - Trey Gilbert
This
investigation began with the tragic death of Terre Haute Fire Department's
Captain Ralph Stott when a cinder block wall collapsed on him during
firefighting operations. Terre Haute Police Detective Cpl. Trey Gilbert led the
investigation and ultimately ruled that the cause of the fire was arson.
Additionally, Trey developed a suspect that has been arrested for the fire at
North 25th St., resulting in the death of Capt. Stott.
Everyone in
Chapter 14 congratulates Trey for a job well done. We also extend our
condolences to the Terre Haute Fire Department and the family of Capt Ralph
Stott. Trey's dedication to this case and his career should be an inspiration
to all of us. Thank you for a job well done.
